British Telecom Selects RSA SecurID Software for the Ericsson R380s Smartphone
RSA Security announced that British Telecom (BT) has selected the RSA SecurID authentication software embedded in the latest Ericsson R38Os smartphones to help protect access to BT’s critical wireless applications. As part of this pilot project, British Telecom is deploying the Ericsson R380s to internal employees who are using RSA SecurID authentication technology to authenticate to wired and wireless applications.
RSA SecurID authentication software for the Ericsson R380s provides two-factor authentication for customers requiring secure access to wireless application protocol services. It also allows Ericsson R380s users to consolidate the number of devices they need to carry in their “road warrior” arsenal, as the RSA SecurID-enabled R380s can also display the token code, eliminating the need to carry a separate token. RSA SecurID software is pre-loaded on the Ericsson R380s smartphone, making it easy to deploy and administer.
