Kodak has announced the launch of a new Kodak Mobile Service Postcard Application that enables consumers to send personalised 4×6″ photo postcards direct from their camera phones to friends and family.

According to the company, the new Kodak Mobile Service Postcard Application, enables users to take a picture, select a border design, enter a personalised message and an address and Kodak will then mail the postcard to any US address, meaning that the recipient will actually receive the card via the postal service and not via an inbox.

The new service can be accessed from a range of phones including MOTOROLA V710, V260, V265, V276; KYOCERA: KX2 and the AUDIOVOX CDM-8940 on the VERIZON Wireless network.

The new application from Kodak can be downloaded in pre-paid single-use increments for USD1.99 or in bundles of three postcards for USD4.99, and five postcards for USD7.99. All prices include first class US postage and the charge will be billed directly to the customer’s phone bill, the company said.
