TELECOMWORLDWIRE-21 October 2005-Danger’s mobile Internet solution offered by T-Mobile Austria(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Mobile software and services provider Danger Inc announced on Thursday (20 October) that the T-Mobile Sidekick II, a device powered by Danger’s mobile Internet platform, has been launched by T-Mobile Austria.

According to Danger, its mobile Internet platform is comprised of a software and services infrastructure that powers Danger-enabled devices.

The platform, which is designed as a client/server system, is able to manage the secure transmission of data between the network and the device, providing end-users with web browsing, e-mail and instant messaging capabilities. Users can access all of these features from a web-based, online account via a desktop computer.

In addition T-Mobile Austria is offering users a “Sidekick unlimited” data option, which means there are no limits for users on web surfing, e-mail or instant messaging throughout the country.

The T-Mobile Sidekick II is available to purchase priced at EUR99 and comes with a two-year service contract. “Sidekick unlimited” is free of charge between now and the end of the year, and from January 2006 will incur a flat monthly fee of EUR14.90.

In related news T-Mobile UK has announced plans to launch Danger’s solution later this year.
