InfoTalk Corp., a provider of multilingual conversational speech understanding technology, has announced the availability of InfoTalk-Verifier speaker authentication software that operates in multiple languages.

Integrated with InfoTalk’s core speech understanding engine (e-t@lk), the product can be employed in a wide range of industries, providing highly secure applications, such as access to personal banking service, organizing personal investment portfolio, bill payment and credit card purchase, InfoTalk says.

“Like fingerprints, every person’s voiceprint is unique. Speaker authentication captures the physical characteristics of the speaker’s voice to identify the speaker,” the company says.

“Compared with other biometric technologies like palm scan or iris scan that run on sophisticated hardware or devices, speaker authentication is easier to use and highly scalable, providing an accurate and natural interface for user identification in an economical way.”

The product is simple to operate, and can integrate well with major IVR platforms and meets the requirement of large-scale call centers and systems that handle massive volume of calls.

Speaker authentication systems running on InfoTalk-Verifier can leverage existing telephone networks and infrastructures, thus leading to savings from new hardware or equipment, InfoTalk adds.
