Software improves VoIP quality – Premier: latest products and services – Brief Article
Global IP Sound, Inc. (GIPS), has announced the availability of GIPS SoundWare, a suite of software specially designed to address the sound problems facing address quality of service (QoS) problems in VoIP network, such as packet loss, delay, jitter and echo.
The software suite can be installed in VoIP edge devices as enhancements to standard codecs, or as adjacent sound and speech processing software in soft-phones, IP phones, or media gateways, providing scalability while reducing the need of over-provisioned networks to accommodate peak loads, the company says.
“Our SoundWare solutions are highly flexible,” GIPS vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific, John Lee, says.
“They enable equipment suppliers, network service providers, and end-users to realize the full promise of VoIP in the Internet age.”
