ToolBook 1.5 – Asymetrix Corp.’s Microsoft Windows development software – New Products: Microcomputers – product announcement
ToolBook 1.5, from Asymetrix Corp., Bellevue, Wash., advances Microsoft Windows development with larger files (up to 1Mb), imported graphics and a 100% speedup in the DayBook personal organizer. Version 1.5 also supports Windows 3-D buttons, list box fields and dialog boxes for creating consistent Windows applications.
Enhanced dynamic link library (DLL) support allows users to exchange data between custom ToolBook applications and non-ToolBook applications. The expanded dynamic data exchange (DDE) capability keeps DDE channels open for applications requiring more than one link to ToolBook. These feature sets enable users to translate Windows messages directly and produce dialog boxes without the need to write DLLs in C.
Priced at $395, ToolBook requires an 80286-based PC or higher, running Windows 3.0 and MS-DOS 3.1
