CRYSTENGCOMM – Internet – Royal Society of Chemistry
This new electronic journal (ejournal) was launched in October 1999 by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). It is the second RSC ejournal following the successful launch of PhysChemComm in October 1998. — CrystEngComm covers the area of crystal engineering, an interdisciplinary area of chemical research cutting across all traditional subdivisions of chemistry (i.e. organic, inorganic, organometallic, co-ordination chemistry, theoretical chemistry, and materials science). The new database will feature both articles and communications including enhanced images that can be rotated and enlarged to suit a reader’s needs, data that can be downloaded, and animated movies for time-dependent studies such as crystal growth studies. Any software required to view these enhancements is freely available over the Internet, according to the RSC. A subscription for the year 2000 will allow site-wide access to articles published in that year, which can be accessed from the contents pages on the RSC Web site, or from a fully searchable database. This database is free through December 1999. For further information contact: The Royal Society of Chemistry, Thomas Graham House, Science Park, Milton Road, Cambridge CB4 0WF UK.
