Systems: Kensington builds better MouseWorks – Kensington Technology Group MouseWorks 5.04 mouse-driver software – Product Announcement – Brief Article
John Poultney
Kensington Technology Group in February upgraded its MouseWorks mouse-driver
software with new navigation functions.
MouseWorks 5.04 makes Internet navigation and interapplication switching
easier, Kensington said. It includes an AutoScroll feature that lets users
scroll program windows in any direction without placing the cursor on the
scroll bar. The “Scroll When You Move the Mouse” function matches the
direction and speed of scrolling to that of the input device. Users can also
program multibutton mice to perform up and down scrolling actions. Other new
features include EasyLaunch, which lets users program buttons to launch a
specific Web site, document or application, or a pop-up menu holding options
for these.
MouseWorks 5.04 is available as a free download on Kensington’s Web site. It
can also be ordered on floppy disks for $19.95.
