Pitango Multimedia Ltd. recently revised its midrange multimedia-authoring

package and branched off a slimmed-down version.

Version 1.5 of ClickWorks Pro includes support for QuickTime VR. Events can be

triggered when the mouse hits a hot spot, and the software can now handle

QuickTime VR Navigate, Spin and Scroll commands.

The upgrade provides new print and search capabilities, and its Show/Hide

Movie controller allows authors to enable or disable playback of QuickTime and

QuickTime VR elements, Pitango said. Users can search ClickWorks Pro’s

database and create catalogs with it (see 12.09.96, Page 39).

Version 1.5 also includes performance enhancements and new Internet

Preferences, which Pitango said will let authors add Open URL commands to

projects. The software costs $985; upgrades from the previous version are

$200.

The company’s new ClickWorks Delight 1.5, priced at $399, is aimed at authors

who want to prototype or create smaller multimedia projects. ClickWorks

Delight 1.5 lacks the database capabilities of its Pro sibling.

Both products can be purchased from Pitango’s Web site.
