US-based Travelocity.com Inc and 17 major domestic and international airlines serving Japan are planning to launch Japan’s first one-stop online travel site, tabini (http://www.tabini.com).

Powered by Travelocity.com technology, tabini will offer comprehensive online travel services, including booking on virtually all international airlines serving Japan, along with more than 55,000 hotels and more than 50 car rental companies in Japan and internationally. The site’s features include “Dream Maps”, which shows a map of international destinations within a budget input by the user, and “Fare Watcher”, a personalised service that tracks the best round trip fare to a requested destination and notifies members when fares drop.

The joint venture between Travelocity.com, Japan’s top three airlines – Japan Airlines, All Nippon Airways and Japan Air System – and 14 major US and Asian airlines, will be launched on 26 March 2002.
