TalkTalk, a home phone calls and broadband provider from Carphone Warehouse Group Plc, a mobile phone retailer, has partnered with security software provider F-Secure to provide security solutions for home Internet users.
According to the company, TalkTalk offers 1MB and 2MB broadband packages, free modem, five free e-mail addresses, 15MB of free web space for customers and, from now on, F-Secure Internet Security Anti-Virus software on a flexible monthly service.
The security software protects users’ PCs from viruses, worms, spam and hacking, and includes a parental control feature to protect children from unsuitable websites, the company claims. At the end of the trial period customers can opt to purchase the software on an ongoing monthly subscription basis, to allow users to adjust their chosen level of security month-by-month, according to their needs and circumstances.
No pricing details were disclosed.
