Survey shows that 1024 x 768 screen resolution is most popular when going online – OneStat.com – Brief Article

Web site analysis software provider OneStat.com has completed a survey on the most popular screen resolution for going online.

The company found that worldwide the 1024 x 768 resolution is the most popular with 46.1% of all Internet users. Next came the 800 x 600 then 1280 x 1024 resolutions with 34.3% and 13.1% respectively.

OneStat.com claims that most Web sites are set up to cater primarily for visitors that have a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels.

The research was compiled based on 2m Internet users each day – 20,000 visitors from each of 100 countries.
