INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Texas-based Sabre has launched a UK and Ireland version of its business travel Internet booking tool.

The new product, Sabre Corporate.Res, gives a business travel agency its own web site, complete with travel booking capabilities. The agency then copies the site to create a site for each of its corporate customers. The customer site will feature the corporation’s logo and can be used by staff to research and book travel. All the booking sites are linked to Sabre’s global distribution system and travel bookings are sent automatically to the business travel agency for ticketing.

Sabre Corporate.Res is available immediately. Pricing comprises three elements: a one-off implementation fee of GBP3,500, a monthly maintenance fee of GBP70/site and a booking fee of GBP4.50 for each PNR created on the site. The Internet booking tool is based on online booking technology for business travel developed by GetThere, a company acquired by Sabre in October 2000.
