Pureprofile launches reverse search engine

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The launch of a reverse search engine which will enable marketers to access detailed consumer profiles, has been revealed by Pureprofile, a permission-based digital direct marketing service.

The profiles will provide marketers with details of current and future purchasing decisions, enabling an online dialogue with consumers to be created. Pureprofile’s reverse search engine enables consumers to create a virtual shopping basket by publishing online personal ‘profile pages’ containing requests for information on products and services they intend to buy. They can request feedback on purchases already made and companies that signed up for the engine before its launch include Abbey, Alliance & Leicester, Avis and Churchill Insurance.

The published requests and opinions can be accessed via http://www.pureprofile.co.uk by all businesses, providing access to an online audience for campaigns and opinions on products and services. An online demonstration of Pureprofile’s reverse search engine is available at www.reversingthesearch.com.
