BellSouth Corp (NYSE:BLS) has announced that it is to offer new residential customers signing up for the two highest speeds of its FastAccess DSL service a free MP3 player and three months of membership to Napster’s digital music service or a digital camera with free Snapfish membership.

Under the company’s new broadband pricing structure customers receive a single price, with no shipping and handling or activation fees, for each speed of FastAccess DSL. The price of the company’s modems and gateways has been reduced to USD75 and customers have the option to pay for their modem or gateway in 10 monthly instalments of USD7.50, or receive it free if they order online.

In addition, BellSouth recently announced that in the fourth quarter of 2005 it will offer BellSouth FastAccess DSL Xtreme 6.0, which will feature downstream speeds of up to 6MB/s.
