IVI Communications acquires IBC

Internet services provider IVI Communications Inc has announced that it has completed the acquisition of turnkey wireless networks provider Internet Business Consulting Inc (IBC).
IBC, which has an annual turnover of USD2.5m, engineers, installs and supports wireless applications and solutions for the ISP market, and distributes wireless networking equipment from leading manufacturers including Alvarion, AirSpan and Motorola.
A spokesperson for IVI said that the acquisition of IBC is a further step towards the company deploying a nationally branded fixed wireless broadband service, and with IBC on board the company is perfectly placed to take advantage of the growth in the market which it expects to see during 2005. No financial details of the acquisition were given.
