A survey commissioned by service management software provider SupportSoft Inc (NASDAQ: SPRT) has revealed that 81% of broadband users in Europe want access to triple play services, with 34% of UK users wanting one bill for VoIP, IPTV and broadband services.
The survey – conducted by InsightExpress – questioned ADSL subscribers in France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the UK about the customer service they received from their broadband supplier, and the impact it will have on future decisions about their broadband and telecomms services.
According to the results 86% of Europeans believe that customer service would stay the same or improve if they received their IP voice, video and data services from one provider, with 17% of those questioned saying they believed it would improve significantly.
A spokesperson for SupportSoft said that digital service providers understand that meeting the high expectations their customers have for service excellence and creating satisfied broadband subscribers is an essential step in their strategies to introduce triple play services.
