eBid introduces new online auction service for British merchants – Company Business and Marketing – Brief Article

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Online auction house eBid has launched a new service that is designed to enable UK wholesalers and retailers to sell their goods by auction from within their own web site.

To utilise the free Shop Front service, merchants first have to access eBid’s web site, http://www.ebid.co.uk, where they register, complete web-based templates for colours, fonts and logos and decide what items they want to auction. The selected items are then pooled across the main eBid web site as well as non-competitive affiliate webmaster sites such as northernireland.net and greatxscape.com.

eBid will take responsibility for the day-to-day running and administration across all sites, including calculation of revenues per merchant and forwarding of the buyers name and contact details at the close of each auction.
