Colibria, a provider of Mobile Instant Messaging (MIM) solutions, announced on Monday (3 September) a new managed Windows Live Messenger solution for operators and service providers.

According to the company, the client-server solution has been developed by Colibria’s in-house team, and includes a new J2ME/Symbian compatible client and Windows Live Messenger Gateway. It features the ability to receive ‘nudges’, send pictures, sound and video, join in multi-party conversations across Internet and mobile IM, as well as enabling users to set and receive Presence information.

Colibria’s Internet Community IM solutions reportedly work seamlessly with its modular portfolio of Subscription and Download Manager server products. The Subscription Manager module supports marketing campaigns and multiple subscription charging models, while the Download Manager enables Operators to create push and pull models for download and upgrade of device client software.

Colibria’s Internet Community IM solutions are managed by Colibria’s data centre, offering secure hosting and management services. The solution will support Microsoft’s protocol MSP 3.0, the company said.

No pricing details were disclosed.
