China claims third spot in Internet user population – Brief Article – Statistical Data Included

A recent survey from the China Internet Network Information Centre is claiming that China is home to the third largest population of Internet users in the world.
The survey claims that, in total, China has 45m individuals that have access to the Internet, a rise of 72% from the previous year. Only the US and Japan claim to have more Internet users than China.
Other results of the survey found that the country has 16m computers linked to the Internet, an increase of 61% from the previous year. Also the average Chinese Internet user spends eight hours and 20 minutes online each week.
