Audiobook downloads available from US libraries
INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Public libraries in the US have reportedly started offering audiobook downloads without the borrower needing to visit the library.
Titles can be downloaded to a computer or portable music player from the library website for a set period of time. After this period the file will be encrypted unless renewed by the library patron.
As yet however the audiobook files cannot be played on Apple’s iPod, reports The Associated Press.
