Network Solutions Appoints Five Executives to Vice President Positions – Company Operations

Network Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSOL), the world’s leading registrar of domain names, Thursday announced it has appointed five top-level executives to provide leadership for its Registrar, Registry and Corporate Services.

–John McInnes recently joined the Registrar as vice president of Network Infrastructure Integration, reporting to chief information officer Rick Walsh. Jeffrey Johnson recently received a promotion from director to vice president of Network Solutions’ idNames, reporting to Doug Wolford.

–For the Registry, Thomas Newell received a promotion from director to vice president of Registy DNS Programs, reporting to general manager Bruce Chovnick.

–In addition, two members of Network Solutions’ corporate team received promotions to vice president, including Jim Ulam, vice president-assistant general counsel and secretary, reporting to Jon Emery, senior vice president-general counsel, and Karla Leavelle, vice president of Human Resources, reporting to chief financial officer Bob Korzeniewski.

John McInnes will serve as vice president of the Network Infrastructure Integration group for Network Solutions’ Registrar. His responsibilities include design, implementation and continuous improvement of Network Solutions’ information infrastructure, allowing the company to meet both short and long-term business goals.

Jeffrey W. Johnson, as vice president of Network Solutions’ idNames, oversees the industry research, business strategy, service development, business development, promotion, and operations functions. idNames provides corporate services for the domain name registration and maintenance needs of many of the world’s largest trademark owners.

As vice president of Registry Domain Name System (DNS) Programs, Thomas Newell is responsible for overseeing the global DNS infrastructure of the

.com, .net and .org top-level domains (TLDs), and technical support to Registry business development initiatives.

Jim Ulam joined Network Solutions’ legal department in 1996. He has since held various positions within the organization, including most recently assistant general counsel. Mr. Ulam handles the practice areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions, equity financing, private placements and public stock offerings, corporate and other commercial transactions.

As vice president of Human Resources (HR), Karla Leavelle is responsible for recruitment, employee benefits, organizational development, employee relations and internal HR policy at Network Solutions. She joined Network Solutions in 1998 as the company’s first director of Human Resources and has guided the department through a rapid period of growth in staff.
