A&E, NICK TOP 80M
Two cable networks, A&E and Nickelodeon, said they surpassed the 80M subscriber mark, citing Nielsen Media Research, Both networks also said their ratings have been solid, with A&E pointing to January as the most-watched month in its 17-year history and Nick noting that last year it drew its highest audience levels ever.
CINDY’S FASHION
Cindy Crawford will host Fashion Flashback, a four-part series on the history of fashion on WE: Women’s Entertainment. Episodes will air Saturdays starting April 7. The series is a part of WE’s month-long Fashion Spectacular.
LIFETIME MOVIE
Lifetime is developing a movie adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ best-selling novel We Were the Mulvaneys. The book, No. 1 on the New York Times paperback best-seller list and an Oprah Book Club selection, is a painful and tragic story about a family that is wrenched apart when their only daughter is raped. No actors have been cast.
IRISH DRAWS
Disney Channel said the premiere of Luck of the Irish was its highest-rated original movie in three years. The film drew a 4.0 household rating and a 7 share on March 9. Among tweens it drew a 13.4 rating.
