It’s safe to say that Titleist and Nike have cornered the Tiger market in terms of equipment and clothing endorsements. Nike dresses Woods from head to toe. He also plays Nike’s new Tour Accuracy ball. Titleist supplies his woods, irons and putter.
A close look at his putter grip, however, reveals a third manufacturer. For the past several years, Tiger has slipped a Ping grip on his Titleist putter and blacked out the letters. The bottom line is that it is strictly a “comfort and feel” decision on Tiger’s part. He has tried Titleist grips in the past but says he simply prefers the Ping grip. (Tiger uses Golf Pride Tour Velvet cord grips on his woods an irons.)
