Nearly perfect, Wiseman earns some champagne at the Miller High Life Open – PBA: Miller High Life Open
Danny Wiseman was nearly perfect en route to winning his 10th career title in the PBA Miller High Life Open at Hawthorn Lanes. Wiseman defeated PBA Hall-of-Famer Walter Ray Williams Jr., in the championship match, 277-237, to earn the $40,000 top prize.
With nine strikes to open the game, Wiseman stepped up in the 10th having already won the trophy. He just needed three strikes to claim the 15th televised 300 game in PBA history. The 35-year-old righthander came up light on his first ball and left the 2-8 “sleeper” combination. “I’d like to have that one back,” he said. “I threw it on line, but mishit the ball at the bottom of my swing. I just amped it up a little too much.”
Wiseman, who finished second the previous week in Memphis, reached the fabled 10-title plateau, making him eligible for the PBA Hall of Fame after retirement.
