Ebonite unveils its first hammer ball – New Products and Industry News – Brief Article
THE VICIOUS IS THE FIRST HAMMER ball released since Ebonite’s February 2002 acquisition of that company.
The Hammer Vicious is a solid reactive ball that has been engineered to quickly clear the fronts and provide an aggressive reaction at the breakpoint.
The Vicious features the Black 2001 Inner Core shape wrapped within an outer core and capped with a pancake-style flipblock, which improves the ball’s angularity at the breakpoint. The core is wrapped in PowerGrip SF32 cover stock, a newly engineered Hammer veneer that offers tremendous continuation at the breakpoint and allows players to open up the lane on a variety of environments.
The Vicious reactive ball comes in navy/purple, is available at 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 pounds, and is in pro shops now.
In other Ebonite news, the company has assigned Gran Prix Bowling Supply as a distributor for Vantage parts and VanTech capital equipment. “We don’t often add distributors,” says Ebonite vice president of marketing Bob Reid. “However, we think Gran Prix will be an excellent strategic partner as we grow our parts and capital equipment businesses.”
The St. Louis-based Gran Prix is an international distributor of consumer products to pro shops. It carries all VanTech products, including pinspotters, ball returns, seating and tables, scoring systems, center management systems, masking systems, and synthetic lanes, as well as Vantage replacement parts for AMF pinspotters and Brunswick pinsetters.
