Chelsea retail spot hits the market

Newmark Knight Frank Retail has begun marketing the retail space at 127 Seventh Avenue, located on the southeast corner of 18th Street in the hip Chelsea neighborhood.

The prime space offers up to 2,100 s/f on the ground floor with a 1,500 s/f basement and over 100 feet of wraparound frontage. The space sits at the base of the Yves luxury residential condominium, a new ultra-trendy development featuring a sleek all-glass facade and the utmost in amenities for its residents.

The 14-story boutique condo is one of many residential developments in the neighborhood, which have helped to transform the area to one where living, shopping, dining and entertainment take center stage.

Jeffrey D. Roseman, executive vice president, and Jason Maurer, associate at Newmark Knight Frank Retail are marketing the space on behalf of the Landlord, developer Benjamin Shaoul and Le Madre Development, LLC.

“The Chelsea neighborhood is booming with numerous new luxury residential buildings and the continual growth of the retail market in the area,” said Roseman. “Recent retailers that have tapped into the Chelsea scene include Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, West Elm, Bed Bath & Beyond, the Container Store and Sabon, in addition to all the restaurants and nightlife.”
