Ray Rossi becomes TEI’s President – Tax Executives Institute
On August 12, 2003, Raymond G. Rossi of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter became the 55th President of Tax Executives Institute. Mr. Rossi, who is Director of External Tax Affairs for Intel Corporation, assumed his new position at the end of TEI’s Annual Meeting of Members. The meeting, which was held in Banff, Alberta, marked the end of the term for J.A. (Drew) Glennie of the Calgary Chapter, who is General Manager of Tax and Insurance for Shell Canada Limited.
Mr. Rossi previously served the Institute as Senior Vice President and chair of the Continuing Education Committee. A member since 1986, he has been a member of TEI’s Executive Committee for several years and has served as Regional Vice President. He is a former member of TEI’s Federal Tax Committee, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and U.S Possessions Committee, and International Tax Committee, which he chaired during 1990-1992. In 2000, he became Treasurer of the Institute. Mr. Rossi also served as the 1994-1995 President of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter.
Also installed at the Annual Meeting of Members were Judith P. Zelisko of the Chicago Chapter as Senior Vice President, Michael P. Boyle of the Seattle Chapter as Secretary, and David L. Bernard of the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter as Treasurer. Eight Regional Vice Presidents and new Chapter Representatives also assumed office. At the Board of Directors meeting immediately following the annual meeting, the chairs of the TEI’s steering committees were appointed.
