D.C. Department of Insurance and Securities Regulation
Bill White, a former senior vice president with American Reinsurance Corp., has been appointed director of captive insurance of the Office of the D.C. Department of Insurance and Securities Regulation. He will be responsible for managing and directing the captive insurance program in D.C., one of the newest domestic domiciles for captive formation in the United States. With more than 24 years experience in the insurance industry, White will also be responsible for attracting associations and other business groups interested in forming captive insurance companies in the District of Columbia. White was appointed by D.C. Insurance Commissioner Larry Mirel.
