Telus Launches New Portable Yellow Pages In Edmonton – Brief Article

Telus Advertising Services, based in Edmonton, Canada, has launched a portable, custom version of the Edmonton yellow pages, called the Telus Go Pages directory. The new directory is designed to be carried in the car and includes business listings, display advertising, maps, coupons and roadside assistance information.

“We’re delighted to introduce this one-of-a-kind directory to our Edmonton customers and to be the first in Western Canada to design a truly customized version of the principal directory delivered to every residential and business customer,” said Don Romaniuk, president of Telus Advertising Services. “With the increased use of cellular phones, consumers need a portable reference and buying guide while on the go,” he said. The Edmonton Telus Go Pages also includes the Business Advantage Program (BAP)-a customer loyalty program that enables customers to get discounts from businesses that display the BAP logo in their ad.

The directory is currently being distributed to Telus Mobility customers. Copies of the book are also being distributed at Telus Mobility dealers and Telus stores. A Calgary version of the Telus Go Pages was launched in April this year.

Telus Advertising Services, a division of Telus, handles yellow and white page directories, and multiple advertising services for small and medium businesses including advertising on the altavistacanada.com, mybc.com, and alberta.com portals.

Telus is Canada’s second largest telecommunications company. The merger of Telus Corp. and BC Tel created Telus in the first quarter of 1999 with revenues of US$4 billion, assets of US$5.4 billion and 21,600 employees.
