Pakistani cellular operator urged to improve service

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Major General Shahzada Alam Malik (Retd) has asked the private sector cellular operator, Mobilink to resolve the internal organizational problems and improve the fast deteriorating mobile phone services of the company.

The sources in PTA have told Business Recorder daily that the PTA chairman, in a recent meeting had asked the Chairman of Mobilink, Javed Saif Ullah to resolve the issue concerning the firing of the company’s CEO and improve the mobile phone network across the country.

Mobilink chairman had informed the PTA that the services of the company would be improved and the network problems would be resolved on priority basis. Saif Ullah owns 11 percent share in Mobilink while the parent company Orascom holds 89 percent.

Mobilink is having problems in its networking and connectivity of mobile phones for over a week now. (Worlditreport.com)
