India’s National Stock Exchange launches e-learing portal
The National Stock Exchange of India’s IT arm, NSE.IT has launched an e-learning portal dedicated to the finance sector dubbed “finvarsity”. The portal was launched by Mr. Pratip Kar, Executive Director, SEBI.
The portal offers on-line courses in various specialized areas including equity, derivatives, mutual funds, insurance and banking.
Immediate offerings from the “finvarsity” portal are two courses in the area of Derivatives (Futures & Options). The first course, viz. “Derivatives Core Module”, covers all the topics prescribed for the NSE’s Certification in Financial Market (NCFM) program for derivatives. The second course, viz. “Refresher Course on Derivatives Core Module” of NCFM is for candidates who are due for re- certification as per NSE stipulation. The candidates completing this refresher course would have certificate validity for an additional two years.
“finvarsity” is powered by the Learning Management System, developed jointly by NSE.IT and Intelsys. The product and associated services have been offered to educational institutes and corporate houses. -(World IT Report)
