India’s computer software and services exports jump
India’s computer software and services exports posted an increase of 28% in 2001-02 at 7652 million dollar, despite a series of negative developments like global economic recession, terrorists strike in US, according to the report by ESC.
In rupee terms, the growth was 32.73% at Rs 36,500 crore, according to the ESC statistical year book which was released and quoted by the Business Standard.
Out of the total, IT software and services contributed 6122 million dollar posting a 21% rise in growth while IT enabled services sector registered a jump of 64% in the same period at 1530 million dollar, it said. (Worlditreport.com)
