India’s Bharti Telesonic deploys Nortel’s optical backbone

Bharti Telesonic, a subsidiary of telecoms company Bharti Tele- Ventures, has deployed Nortel Network’s OPTera Metro solutions for its national and international long distance services.
According to a joint press release by Bharti and Nortel Networks said today that the high capacity SDH (synchronous digital hierarchy) backbone is expected to contribute to sustaining affordable services.
