Cisco signs MOU for networking academy in Nepal
Cisco Systems signed a memorandum of understanding with Nepal’s Tribhuvan University to set up a networking academy.
The move is part of Cisco’s non-profit $8 million initiative titled the Cisco Networking Academies Program. The academies will be set up in existing educational institutions as part of the Cisco Advanced Internet Education Program, and will provide specialized training to students on how to design, build and maintain computer network.
The program has already set up 42 academies in India and one in Nepal, based in the Kathmandu College of Management. Future plans call for 80 more academies to be set up by year’s end.
