Celcom Malaysia Offers MMS-Boosted GPRS
Celcom Malaysia has this week officially launched its General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) service, Celcom GPRS, which also offers Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS).
The company, which has been testing its GPRS systems for two years, targets approximately 60,000 GPRS users – both new and from its existing subscriber base – by year-end.
With GPRS, users can send MMSes to Celcom subscribers as well as download Java games, polyphonic ring tones, wallpapers and animated screensavers. The company also said that is has launched interoperator MMS, allowing subscribers to send such messages to users of another network. – (World IT Report.com)
