No news is good news

No news is good news

Douglas Stanglin

Friends of Hillary Rodham Clinton say the first lady rarely watches or reads news reports of the latest scandal allegations against her husband, relying instead on information provided by President Clinton’s private lawyers. This way, friends say, she avoids getting upset by the innuendo and rumor that she believes dominate media accounts. In setting her agenda for the year, she will become increasingly active on her Millennium Project, which is designed to publicize ways to think innovatively about the 21st century. She will also join U.S. astronauts to celebrate the space program and will renew her efforts to save “national treasures” that are in need of renovation or repair, such as Thomas Edison’s estate in West Orange, N.J.
