Norwalk’s Bennett Pointe to provide senior living

Northwest Ohio has recently seen an influx of senior living development. Senior living communities owned by Otterbein, Primrose Retirement Communities, and Birchaven Heights are just a few of the newest facilities to bring investment into our region. Now, Norwalk, Ohio is the site of a major new senior living development.

Bennett Pointe, a $12 million project to include 60 senior apartment homes, is approximately 70% complete with occupancy expected to begin this month. The Norwalk, Ohio facility will offer two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments measuring, on average, 850 square feet. RDL Architects, Inc., located in Cleveland, is the architect for Bennett Pointe.

“It’s a basic single-story slab on grade elevations with covered front porches and rear patios,” stated John Leonard, The NRP Group.

“With the mild winter, construction has been relatively easy.”

The NRP Group is the owner of Bennett Pointe as well as its general contractor. The company has built more than 40,000 multifamily and senior units in the United States. According to NRP, it focuses on key architectural features while expediting timelines to meet objectives.

Community involvement is encouraged as well with planned activities such as resident dinners, morning teas, book clubs, bingo, wellness clinics, and other forms of entertainment.

Future plans for the site include use of additional available land as well as development of land adjacent to the property.
