— Brand identity firm Lippincott & Margulies, which has aided such high-tech clients as IBM, Compaq and AOL, announced it has merged with Mercer Management Consulting to form Lippincott Mercer. The merged company will operate out of offices in New York, Los Angeles, London, Asia and Latin America.

— Ziff Davis Media, New York, reported that its newest monthly console and computer game magazine-GMR-sold more than 37,000 subscriptions in its first week earlier this month, making it one of the company’s most successful launches. The magazine, which went on sale Jan. 6, is a collaboration between Ziff Davis and Electronics Boutique, a leading retailer of computer and console games. The magazine is being sold at Electronics Boutique and other retail outlets. The subscribers that signed up at Electronics Boutique stores were given special discounts on store merchandise. Ziff Davis said GMR will have an average rate base of 225,000 for 2003. A onepage, four-color ad in GMR is $5,600.

— CMP Media’s Intelligent Enterprise magazine launched IntelligentBPM.com, a Web site dedicated to information, news and discussions about business performance management. The Web site was developed in association with Ventana Research, San Francisco, a research and consulting group focused on BPM strategies. IntelligentBPM.com is Intelligent Enterprise’s fifth Web site and joins IntelligentCRM.com, IntelligentEAI.com, IntelligentERP.com and IntelligentKM.com.
