The Making of Bigfoot: The Inside Story. Greg Long. Foreword by Kal K. Korff. Prometheus Books, 2004, 476 pp. $25, hardcover. A thorough exposure of the hoax of the most famous of all films of “Bigfoot,” the 1967 Roger Patterson/Bob Gimlin film. Long interviewed more than forty witnesses in Yakima, Washington, who knew Patterson personally. He found our where the gorilla suit used to make the film was made, the person who wore the suit, and the actual plan for making money out of the hoax. Kal Korff’s article in this issue summarizes the major aspects of Long’s revelations.
