Tech. Sgt. Peter Christ, USAF * Kaiserslautern Chapter

Tech. Sgt Peter Christ, USAF, is a satellite, wideband and telemetry systems technician within the 1 st Combat Communications Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He serves as the noncommissioned officer in charge of U.S. Air Forces in Europe’s most relied-upon tactical communications team. Sgt. Christ expertly deployed 32 airmen for a total of 2,432 days to 16 deployed locations. In his position, he also ensures the proper maintenance and accountability of an arsenal of communications equipment items valued at more than $100 million.

Sgt. Christ joined the Kaiserslautem military community AFCEA Chapter last year and was immediately elected as a chapter board member. He currently serves as a Young AFCEAN adviser for die chapter; his dedication led to his selection as the Distinguished Young AFCEAN for his chapter in 2006. In early 2007 he coordinated and executed an educational Young AFCEAN tour of the NATO facility on Ramstein Air Base, and he already has started coordinating the next Young AFCEAN visit, a detailed tour of the Cisco facility in Frankfurt, Germany.

Sgt. Christ has played a vital role in chapter events, demonstrated technical competence in his field and encouraged involvement with AFCEA events and initiatives. His performance and dedication have not only contributed to the Kaiserslautern Chapter but to the entire Kaiserslautern military community, and so AFCEA proudly awards AFCEAN of the Month honors to Tech. Sgt. Peter Christ, USAF.
