Lake Washington Council hosts rear adm. Gilmour

Rear Adm. Thomas H. Gilmour, commander of the Coast Guard’s Maintenance and Logistics Command (Pacific), was guest of honor and principal speaker at the second anniversary meeting of the Lake Washington Council (Wash.) at the Doubletree Hotel in Bellevue, Wash. Gilmour thanked the council for adopting the Coast Guard’s newest icebreaker, the USCGC Healy, and Harbor Defense Command Unit 113 in Seattle (a Navy and Coast Guard Reserve unit activated shortly after 9/11). Shown here, from left, are: Rear Adm. Erroll M. Brown, commander, Thirteenth Coast Guard District; Joseph Forde of Forde Financial and Tax Inc.; Gilmour; Council President Roger W. Ponto; Rear Adm. James W. Underwood, commander, Seventeenth Coast Guard District; and Mike Sevy of the United States Automobile Association. Forde and Sevy were honored during the meeting as leaders of the council’s first two NLUS Community Affiliates.
