Terre’s terrific – Letters – Letter to the Editor

I enjoyed Terre Davis’s contribution about working as a superintendent search consultant (June 2003), but more importantly I realized that in the several searches I was involved in as a candidate, never was I treated in a more professional manner than when she conducted the search.

Although I didn’t get that particular position, I certainly learned more on how to present who I am to a board of education, prioritized what I was about as an educator and generally became more focused. Most significantly, I was treated with dignity and respect and kept informed throughout the process.

Terre Davis is a great part of the reason I have been successful in obtaining other superintendent positions. Her assistance was what every candidate wants and should receive.

Superintendent,

Clare-Gladwin Regional Education Service District,

Terre Davis tells it like it is and I appreciate that.

Much of what she has shared over the years was represented in her article. It’s refreshing to hear someone stand by her convictions.

It was nice to see Terre Davis in your June issue. It seems just yesterday that she helped me convince myself that I wanted to be a superintendent.
