Patricia M. Richardson

After more than 32 years with the St. Mary’s County Public Schools in Leonardtown, Md., Patricia Richardson will return to her alma mater, University of Maryland, College Park, as a professor of educational leadership and director of graduate program development in the college of education. Richardson started as a reading specialist before becoming principal of an elementary school and the district’s director of curriculum and instruction. She was appointed superintendent in St. Mary’s in 1997.
