Fighting cancer with folate – Letters – Letter to the Editor

I want you to know how moved I was by the article by Patrick Perry in the Sept./Oct. 2002 issue of the Post–“Outsmarting Cancer With Folate.”
I lost my mother to cancer recently. However, after her original diagnosis in the spring, I began doing cancer treatment research and happened across your article. I was so thrilled, because I believed that she might be able to benefit from Endocyte’s treatment program. Although I am struggling now to deal with her death, I have hope for other cancer patients; so much so that after her passing, I phoned Endocyte regarding the establishment of a fund in her name with donations that were made to my family.
The fund is called “For Love of Mom,” and the monies collected will be used to help with patient care.
