Standard Federal Bank acquires Curti Insurance Agency, Inc.
Standard Federal Bank acquired the Curti Insurance Agency, Inc., of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Under the terms of the acquisition, the new operation will conduct business as a wholly owned subsidiary of the bank under the name “Standard-Curti Insurance Agency, Inc.”
The agency, which prior to the acquisition was a $20 million premium firm, will continue to be managed by the Curti management team with Anthony A. Curti serving as president and the agency’s founder, Cataldo Curti, directing commercial insurance activities.
The agency offers a full line of commercial lines and personal lines P-C products through five offices in metropolitan Detroit.
Standard Federal Bank is the principal operating subsidiary of Standard Federal Bancorporation, a New York Stock Exchange firm which is Michigan’s leading home mortgage lender. The bank operates 181 banking centers, 11 home lending centers and over 380 ATMs in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.
