Ja, All You Need Is Love – PLUR music festival in Berlin – Brief Article
Since 1989, Berlin has been the epicenter of worldwide PLUR (remember that?), and this year, the tradition continued. On July 12, 750,000 revelers from every corner of the globe converged to celebrate open-mindedness, tolerance and peace under the theme “Love Rules” and to dance in the streets to sets by Miss Kittin, Paul van Dyk, Westbam, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, DJ Hell and Felix da Housecat, among many others. Rolling out at about 2 p.m., the parade – and its 30 floats from Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK – rambled along from the Brandenburg Gate in the East and the Ernst-Reuter-Platz in the West toward the Siegessaule (Victory Column) for the final celebration, which rocked until 11 p.m. For more info, check out www.loveparade.net.
