Arthur Paradise

TRIVOLI – Arthur K. Paradise Jr., 53, of 19425 W. Linwood Drive died at 12:06 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Jan. 3, 1950, in Chicago to Arthur K. Sr. and Dolores Stanton Paradise, he married Katherine Williams-Haling on May 29, 1971. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Homewood; two daughters, Lisa (and Timothy) Austin of Suffolk, Va., and Sherry Paradise-Hardy (and Christopher Hardy) of Farmington; one sister, Sherry Lucas of Ogden Dunes, Ind.; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A Vietnam War veteran, he served in the Navy for 23 years, retiring in 1992 as a chief petty officer E-7.

He last was a sales consultant for Mid-America Basement Systems.

He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Peoria and was a member of Farmington American Legion. He also was a member of Farmington Moose Lodge and Hanna City Sportsman’s Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ronald Moritz will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington.
