ReadNotify has added document tracking capabilities for Adobe Acrobat PDF users, while has updated features for PDF to Word conversion tool and JCITS Systems has boosted ScanAsPDF solution. Adds Adobe Acrobat PDF Document Tracking has added Adobe Acrobat PDF document tracking to its document tracking service.

The new PDF tracking capability comes out of month-long beta-testing mode and enables users to track their PDF documents in e-mails, confirm destination and usage of those documents and receive read notification summary information.

“Our document tracking lets copyright owners find out what is really happening to their material after they send it to other people,” said Chris Drake, ReadNotify’s chief technology officer.

The PDF tool conversion tool supports all Windows platforms and now supports PDF1.5 protocol.

In addition, it offers Command Line Operation for manual use or script inclusion and offers batch processing for multiple document conversion.

With 1.5, has boosted the PDF conversion speed and enhanced the auto resize features for fitting PDF pages to required layout specifications.

JCSITS Systems Updates ScanAsPDF

Show Low, Ariz.-based JCSITS Systems has released version 1.7.7 of its ScanAsPDF.

ScanAsPDF 1.7.7 gives users the ability to add watermarks, sticky notes, rotate images and boost PDF output quality.

In addition, users can drag and drop image files including JPEG, TIF, GIF and BMP into the available project preview window, according to the company.

The latest version is compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP operating systems and requires a TWAIN compatible scanner.
