USTA/NRPA announce Tennis Programming Winners – Tip-Off – Brief Article

During October’s National Congress & Expo, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and NRPA announced the winner of the 2003 USTA/NRPA Excellence in Tennis Programming Awards. The awards honor outstanding park and recreation agencies for significant contributions and excellence in local tennis programming. The following five organizations, categorized by population, received a plaque and a $2,000 grant at Congress.

The selection criteria included a history of demonstrated program success, with priority given to agencies implementing USTA Tennis programs; a strong working relationship with the local community tennis association; quantitative program reach; breadth of program impact; quality of personnel; and distinctiveness and creativity of programs.
